Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Portering Manager to join our Facilities team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of portering services across our hospital campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the portering service on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the provision of safe and quality patient care.
  • Work closely with clinical staff, patients, and visitors to provide a high level of customer service and support.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve portering services, including process improvements and staff training.
  • Collaborate with other Facilities services to support service delivery and ensure a seamless experience for patients and staff.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to portering staff, promoting a culture of excellence and customer service.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a portering or facilities management role, with a strong understanding of hospital operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and quality.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
