About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Porter to join our team at Metropolitan Gaming in Glasgow. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- General Kitchen Duties: Assist the Head Chef and kitchen staff with general manual duties, ensuring that all working areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Bin Room Maintenance: Keep the bin room tidy and clean, washing and disinfecting it daily.
- Chemical Management: Economize on the use of chemicals and disposable items, liaising with the Sous Chef to order new stock as needed.
- Courteous Service: Provide excellent service to our restaurant and bar customers, carrying out duties in a courteous manner without expecting incentives.
- Safe Cleaning Practices: Clean floors safely using appropriate warning signs.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as requested by the Sous Chef.
Requirements:
- Age and Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
