Curriculum Leader for Hair, Beauty and Makeup

About the Role

Newcastle College is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to take the role of Curriculum Leader for our Hair, Beauty and Makeup department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a high-quality learning experience and leading the curriculum team in achieving high levels of retention, achievement, and progression.

The Curriculum Leader will also lead a team of lecturing staff to deliver a high standard of teaching, learning, and assessment, as well as promoting attendance, progression, and employability skills.

The role requires a solid track record of delivering excellent outcomes and leading across programmes of study, apprenticeships, adult education, and higher education within the Hair and Beauty sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the curriculum team to achieve high levels of retention, achievement, and progression
  • Develop and implement high-quality curriculum plans and programmes
  • Lead a team of lecturing staff to deliver high-standard teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Promote attendance, progression, and employability skills among students
  • Collaborate with external partners to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Support the Head of Curriculum in building and maintaining the College and Faculty reputation

The successful candidate will have a solid track record of delivering excellent outcomes and leading across programmes of study, apprenticeships, adult education, and higher education within the Hair and Beauty sector.
