Care Support Assistant

About the Role:
As a Support Worker with the British Red Cross, you will play a vital role in providing practical and emotional assistance to individuals in their own homes.
You will conduct person-centred assessments, ensuring that people receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
Working closely with people, their families, and other professionals, you will create care plans tailored to their needs and goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting and enabling individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of interactions, care plans, and progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or social care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
