We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Play Worker to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a Play Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the hospital experience for children and young people, providing high-quality, holistic play opportunities that promote their wellbeing and development.

Main Responsibilities- Organize and facilitate play opportunities for individual children and groups, adapting to their unique needs and interests.
- Develop and implement creative play activities that promote independence, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other Play Team members to ensure seamless care and support.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to parents and carers, empowering them to engage in play with their child.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and hygienic play environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams, using clear and respectful language.
- Maintain accurate records of play activities and outcomes, contributing to the evaluation and improvement of our services.
