Play Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Play Worker to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a Play Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the hospital experience for children and young people, providing high-quality, holistic play opportunities that promote their wellbeing and development.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and be able to provide creative and engaging play activities that cater to the diverse needs of our patients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that all children and young people have access to play opportunities that reflect their individual needs and interests.
Key Responsibilities- Organise and facilitate play sessions for individual and groups of children and young people.
- Plan and adapt play activities to meet the needs of each child, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with parents and carers to encourage their involvement in play activities.
- Develop and maintain a range of play activities that promote independence, wellbeing, and social skills.
- Work flexibly across the Play team to ensure seamless delivery of play services.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
