Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead our operations team at Tarmac Leapers Wood Quarry in Lancashire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe running of the quarry, managing a highly skilled team, and ensuring business continuity and risk reduction.

Main Responsibilities

Managing and developing a team to ensure business continuity and reduce business risk
Leading change and continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining disciplined stock management processes, and producing operational reports
All aspects of budgetary control for all quarrying operations
Proactively managing an effective maintenance scheme for the quarry plant and equipment
Maintaining and implementing Standard Operating Procedures and risk assessments
Managing proactively both mandatory training and developmental training of staff
Collating and reporting monthly performance KPIs and driving operational performance

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth experience gained within Quarrying Operations and a good understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999. Suitable candidates will have full knowledge of Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work Systems, working knowledge of production processes, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, and strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (SAP advantageous).
