About the Role

Abcam is seeking a highly skilled Imaging expert to contribute to the expansion of our Immunocytochemistry Portfolio. The successful candidate will be part of the Immunocytochemistry and Flow Cytometry Team, reporting to the Team Leader within the Characterisation Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate new antibodies to the highest standard in imaging applications.
  • Imaging using confocal microscopy or High-Content Analyzers (HCA).
  • Streamline current processes and approach new methods and technology proactively.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, team leaders, and colleagues on delivery dates, updates, and necessary documentation.
  • Maintain high-quality standards within the lab, ensuring compliance with external and internal quality standards, including ISO9001.
  • Line manage and mentor junior colleagues, creating an engaging and developing environment.

Requirements

You will have a PhD degree or equivalent experience in industry/academia. A strong scientific background and experience in antibody validation are essential. You will also have a deep understanding and extensive experience using Confocal Microscopy or High Content Analyzer.

A background in automated image analysis and quantification (ICC/IHC) using AI tools is desirable. Experience in imaging and cultivating primary mammalian cells (human/mouse) is also required.
