Job Summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled pharmacist to join our team as a Practice Educator. This role will involve supporting the development and delivery of the Foundation Training Year (FTY) programme for trainee pharmacists.

About the Role

The Practice Educator will work collaboratively across NES and the NHS Scotland pharmacy service, bringing pharmacy education and training expertise to the national context. This role will be based in Aberdeen, supporting national delivery of the FTY programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of the FTY programme for trainee pharmacists
  • Work collaboratively across NES and the NHS Scotland pharmacy service
  • Bring pharmacy education and training expertise to the national context

Requirements

  • Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience as a pharmacist practicing in any sector (i.e. Community, hospital, primary care), with experience of supporting trainees/learners
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and build networks and communities of practice
