Job Summary:

NHS Education for Scotland is seeking a highly experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Principal Lead for the Pharmacy Foundation Training Year Programme. This is a part-time opportunity with a flexible working arrangement, allowing the successful candidate to maintain clinical practice in the remaining working week.

About the Role:

The Principal Lead will work closely with the Associate Postgraduate Pharmacy Deans and other members of the Pharmacy team to deliver the leadership of the Foundation Training Year Programme. This will involve working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders across Scotland to play a significant lead role in delivering national training initiatives that provide education and development opportunities for the pharmacy workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of the Foundation Training Year Programme
  • Work closely with the Associate Postgraduate Pharmacy Deans and other members of the Pharmacy team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Scotland to deliver national training initiatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Proven leadership experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Significant experience as a pharmacist practicing in any sector
  • Experience of supervising Trainees/Learners and/or wider leadership experience in relation to initial education and training of Pharmacists
