Procurement Specialist

Our client, a leading Commercial & Procurement advisory, is seeking a skilled Procurement Consultant to join their team. As a Procurement Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping clients optimize their procurement processes, manage supply chains, and ensure effective vendor management.
The Opportunity: This role offers a unique chance to work with a forward-thinking consultancy that provides career progression and development opportunities. You will be part of a supportive team and have the opportunity to work on a hybrid-basis, with a modern office as HQ based in Derby.
- Develop and integrate procurement strategies to optimize client supply chains.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings throughout the supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPI's and regular audits.
- Support clients in preparing competitive bids for rail projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, finance, and legal teams to ensure procurement aligns with overall project objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Public procurement experience is highly desirable.
- Confident in supplier terms and building relationships with stakeholders.
- Rail industry-specific procurement-oriented experience is desirable.
