Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Porterbrook. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's procurement activities are aligned with its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency
- Manage and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality and commercial requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate supply chain risks
- Develop and maintain procurement category strategies to ensure optimal spend management
- Provide procurement advice and support to business stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are aligned with business objectives
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the railway industry
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
