We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) as a Dual Diagnosis Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of adult community mental health services in Sandwell, transforming the lives of individuals with complex mental health and substance misuse issues.
As a Dual Diagnosis Nurse, you will be responsible for a caseload of clients, providing clinical care and guidance for those with drug and alcohol dependency. You will also support outreach to substance misuse services, assessing and formulating individual intervention plans, and developing robust clinical management plans for Service Users with complex mental health problems.
You will work closely with the Team Manager and Clinical Lead to adhere to and deliver high-quality service, ensuring that Service Users receive safe, sound, and supported care. You will also have the opportunity to develop your clinical and professional practice in line with Service Users' needs and organizational values.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical care and guidance for clients with drug and alcohol dependency
- Support outreach to substance misuse services
- Assess and formulate individual intervention plans
- Develop robust clinical management plans for Service Users with complex mental health problems
- Work closely with the Team Manager and Clinical Lead to deliver high-quality service
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NMC - RMN Registration
- Experience of working within mental health services
- Experience of assessment of people with substance misuse and related problems
- Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of NHS issues and current policies and practices in mental health
- Evidence of commitment to promoting Service Users' and carers' values
- Higher qualification at least to degree level in a relevant subject
- Postgraduate training relevant to Mental Health
- Recent and relevant experience of working with clients experiencing issues with substance misuse
- Evidence of working with complex mental health and substance misuse Service Users within inpatient and/or community settings
