Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care Mental Health Team in Sandwell, as part of our Community Transformation initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service, shaping the future of community mental health care.
The successful candidate will work closely with Primary, Secondary, and Specialist Care Teams, ensuring that individuals with mental health problems receive care and treatment appropriate to their individual needs. You will be based out of an office in Oldbury, with regular visits to GP practices and homes, requiring a car.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver recovery-focused psychological interventions to service users with complex mental health needs.
- Work autonomously, managing your own clinics and caseload, with a high level of autonomy.
- Review patients, consider treatment options, and provide advice on care, liaising with GPs and MH teams.
- Assess and direct care with compassion and efficiency, promoting mental health and liaising with statutory and non-statutory organisations.
- Triage referrals, undertake mental health assessments, risk assessments, and deliver therapeutic interventions in an accessible way.
- RMN Qualification
- 12 months experience working as a qualified nurse in mental health
- 6 months community experience in mental health
