Job Opportunity for a Supervisory Role at Virginia Correctional Enterprises
Virginia Correctional Enterprises (VCE) is a dedicated manufacturing and service organization focused on providing employment opportunities for individuals in correctional facilities while ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. This role involves overseeing and mentoring inmates in the production of metal furnishings, office solutions, seating arrangements, and associated tasks. The primary objective is to guarantee the timely production of quality items while enhancing the skill sets of the inmate workforce.
- Expertise in the manufacturing of metal furnishings, office solutions, and seating
- Strong abilities in planning, organization, and problem resolution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Possession of a High School Diploma or GED
- Background in a manufacturing setting
Additional Qualifications:
Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, continuous improvement methodologies, and quality assurance programs is preferred. Experience with metal furniture production tools, welding techniques, and prior supervisory roles are advantageous for this position. Knowledge of vehicle installation and operational procedures is a plus.
