Job Title: Technical Assistant - Food Safety and Compliance

Job Summary:

Hovis Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to join our team. As a Technical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and compliance across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Safety Culture: Promote and maintain a strong food safety culture within the organization, ensuring that all employees understand and adhere to food safety principles and practices.
  • Compliance Management: Support the Technical Department in managing compliance with food safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs, including document creation, review, and maintenance.
  • Auditing and Investigations: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards and investigate any non-conformances or complaints.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to employees on food safety and quality assurance practices, ensuring that all staff members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance food safety and quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Education: Food qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of food legislation, food safety principles, and industry best practices.
