Job Title: Assistant Technical Specialist

As an Assistant Technical Specialist, you will be part of our Technical department, supporting the management of compliance, systems, food safety culture, and governance of food safety, quality, process, legal, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Site Technical and Operations teams to ensure efficient production of safe and legal food.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of food safety culture, and challenge site GMP standards.
  • Support with functional and cross-functional projects and continuous improvement activities.
  • Complete audits on bakery GMP standards and Technical compliance.
  • Assist the Compliance Manager with complaint investigations and trending of complaints data.
  • Support Compliance Manager and Technical department on ad hoc tasks and projects.
  • Manage the mould free end of life shelf life testing and air quality system.
  • Assist with Operator training and deliver continuous improvement of product quality and standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in food manufacturing in a quality/technical role.
  • Strong IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft office suite and Google platforms.
  • Team player with a proactive approach and initiative to consistently reach and exceed customer and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of food legislation and food safety principles.
  • Able to demonstrate a flexible response to role responsibilities.
