We operate in four sectors: Climate, Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, and Computation, tackling the challenges defining those areas through a first-principles approach and partnerships with leading institutions.

The Role

We are seeking an Associate to join our Climate team, working closely with the Director of Climate, Head of Scoping, and other Associates to drive the net-zero carbon transition. As an Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Researching and identifying new opportunity areas for building ventures that tackle climate change and the net-zero carbon transition;
  • Recruiting a team of multidisciplinary founder-type scientists and working together on venture creation;
  • Driving the venture creation process from idea generation to pre-seed and seed investments;
  • Supporting fundraising and business development efforts for the sector.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A deep technical understanding of disciplines such as chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, with a focus on climate-related applications;
  • Demonstrated interest in climate tech, including negative emissions technologies, green chemicals, and decarbonizing transport;
  • First principles and creative thinking, with a proven track record of delivering outcome-oriented projects from start to finish.
