Behavioural Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team and provide tailored support to students with complex difficulties and learning challenges.

About the Role

  • Work with students aged 16-25 with complex difficulties and learning challenges.
  • Provide daily support to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and support staff.
  • Manage challenging behaviours using positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Encourage student independence and self-advocacy through skill-building activities.

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with special educational needs.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and a commitment to their personal development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to overcoming challenges and adapting to students' diverse needs.
  • Current safeguarding training is highly desirable.

Contract Details

$90 - $105 per hour, Long Term to Perm contract, ASAP start.
