Are you passionate about helping children with special needs achieve their full potential?

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly, energetic, and creative team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Therapy Department, supporting children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and associated challenging behaviours.

The School:

This school caters for children aged 3-19 with Learning Difficulties, who may have additional sensory impairments, physical difficulties, or challenging behaviour. Our Therapy Department is staffed by qualified Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists, who work closely with teaching staff and parents to deliver a 'blended' model of therapeutic intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and associated challenging behaviours
  • Work closely with the Therapy Department to deliver a 'blended' model of therapeutic intervention
  • Support children's individual needs and encourage the development of social skills
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to children

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Able to plan learning activities to suit pupil ability with support from a teacher
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict

5 days a week (Mon-Fri) & £80-£100 per day - dependant on skills and experience. Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of students. You MUST have the right to work in the UK in order to apply.
