Academics is seeking a dedicated Graduate to work as an Aspiring Clinical Psychologist / Autism Support Assistant at a lovely school near Guildford, for children aged 4-19.

The school has a deep focus on addressing the educational needs of vulnerable children and provides a supportive environment for both students and staff.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with autism. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team to provide high-quality support and guidance to our students.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide one-to-one support to students with autism, helping them to develop their social and emotional skills.
  • To assist with lesson planning and implementation, ensuring that the educational needs of each student are met.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • To communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • To participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • A good understanding of autism and its effects on children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

What We Offer:

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
