Job Summary:

Sonderwell is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team in the Plymouth area. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support to adults with a range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessment and person-centered support planning to identify individual needs and aspirations.
  • Assist with household tasks, including cooking, meal planning, housework, shopping, laundry, and budgeting.
  • Support with social care tasks, including benefit payments, money management, training in public transport, and development of social and recreational activities.
  • Contribute to educational and vocational development, including support in adult education classes and supported employment placements.
  • Support the development of positive behaviors and reduction of self-harmful or socially inappropriate behaviors.
  • Assist with medication management, including supervision of self-administration and monitoring of beneficial and negative side-effects.

Requirements:

  • Full UK/EU driving license for insurance purposes.
  • Ability to drive a manual vehicle.
  • Passion for the care of vulnerable people.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
