Job Summary:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll transactions. This role involves onboarding new hires, managing payroll sheets, and performing account balance and payroll reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:- Onboarding and Payroll Management: Onboard new hires to ADP ihcm, including assigning leave packages, pay types, and cost centers.
- Payroll Processing: Take ownership of allocated payrolls, ensuring completion from start to finish, including reviewing absence, carrying out apportioned pay calculations, and preparing average holiday pay.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyze pre and post-commit reports to ensure accuracy, prepare weekly and monthly financial journals and reports, and provide periodic payroll reports for review by management.
- Communication and Liaison: Respond to payroll-related inquiries, resolve concerns in a timely manner, and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of legislation and HMRC relating to payroll, payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP National Payroll Certificate) or previous experience in a similar role, and experience of administering workplace pensions.
- Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work within a team, and strong attention to detail.
