Job Title: Outpatient Appointments Team Leader

Spire Healthcare Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Outpatient Appointments Team Leader. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Newport, Wales.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of administrators in the delivery and administration management of all stages of the booking process across all payors. They will ensure the outpatients admin team provides a high standard of customer service to all patients, consultants, NHS partners, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of administrators to drive operational performance and ensure high standards of customer service.
  • Manage sickness, annual leave, and underperformance management within the Outpatient Appointments team.
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1 sessions and feedback sessions with team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and support.
  • Ensure all calls are answered in a timely manner and deliver high standards of customer service at all times.
  • Plan the workforce in line with activity and manage administrative tasks associated with bookings, pre-op assessment, and admissions.
  • Work with the Patient Admissions Manager and Director of Shared Services to improve KPIs and identify process issues.
  • Provide data and insights to support business decisions and contribute to regular departmental meetings.
  • Deputise for the Outpatient Appointments Manager in their absence.
