Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to join our team at Abbott Diabetes Care. As a key member of our Operations group, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of employees and leaders within the manufacturing area of responsibility, ensuring their performance is aligned with business objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality products on time, in full, and cost-effectively, while maintaining regulatory compliance and optimizing productivity.
  • Facilitate the optimization of the production area by directing support staff, including leads, engineering, schedulers, QA, and technical teams.
  • Monitor and be responsible for the overall quality of the product and documentation produced by the manufacturing unit.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and Abbott standards by adhering to and maintaining EHS systems, programs, and procedures that manage EHS risk.
  • Support and drive rapid and compliant transfer/start-up of new products and processes in the manufacturing unit.

Requirements:

  • Secondary Level education and exposure to Operations/Manufacturing environments, including working knowledge of GMP, Technical, and Quality requirements.
  • Proven experience in 2nd line management, including strategy, resource planning, financials, and employee development.
  • Strong communication skills, an engaging and motivating style, and passion for leading change and continuous improvement projects.
  • A track record of accomplishing objectives, working proactively, and managing time effectively.
