We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Development Lead to join our R&D Engineering team in Witney. This exciting opportunity will see you working on cutting-edge projects, driving innovation and excellence in automated manufacturing systems.

The Role

This key position will be responsible for leading the development of technical solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality products and equipment. You will work closely with electrical and controls engineers to provide innovative designs, specifying and designing machines incorporating the latest process, inspection, and controls systems.

As a senior member of our team, you will also oversee the commissioning, characterisation, and optimisation of machines, as well as generating manuals and regulatory documentation to support UKCA/CE marking.

With your strong technical expertise, you will lead a small team, overseeing day-to-day activities and providing developmental guidance and line management.

What We're Looking For
  • A degree-level qualification in an engineering discipline or higher level qualification (HNC/HND) alongside progressive work experience.
  • A proven track record and significant experience in automated production equipment design, working alone or as part of a team.
  • Expertise using 3D CAD coupled with a drawing management system, preferably AutoDESK Inventor.
  • Proven project management experience, including leading or mentoring teams.
Competitive Salary

£80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including a defined-contribution pension scheme, share ownership scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, and flexible benefits scheme.
