About the Role

  • This is a key position within our technical services support team, responsible for maintaining automated liquid handling and bench-top automation platforms, ensuring minimal equipment downtime and optimal system utilization.">

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide direct support to laboratory scientists in the programming and operation of automated platforms and in planning experiments to incorporate automated solutions where appropriate. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills, with experience working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize scientific protocols on automation platforms to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.">
  • Collaborate with scientists to develop, validate, and troubleshoot high-throughput automated workflows.">
  • Lead equipment breakdown investigations to identify underlying causes and implement mitigations.">
  • Train equipment users on key concepts associated with the platforms to promote best-practice and minimize avoidable run failures.">
  • Maintain awareness of new developments in laboratory automation and apply this knowledge to improve existing processes.">
  • Provide technical mediation in the event of long-running equipment issues involving multiple vendors.">

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, or Sciences, or equivalent, with 3+ years' experience servicing laboratory equipment, or relevant certifications.">
  • Experience working with liquid handling automation and software packages such as Cellario, Evoware, Fluent Control, Momentum, VWorks, or equivalent.">
  • Strong understanding of core competencies involved in operating liquid handling automation.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.">
  • Ability to work in a controlled laboratory environment, adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.">

Estimated Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
