Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Interventional Bronchoscopy Fellow. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our experienced team in the Thoracic Oncology department, gaining expertise in interventional bronchoscopy, pleural disease, and lung cancer screening.

Main Duties

The post holder will be responsible for managing lung cancer pathways, from early detection with screening to management of complex lung cancer and pleural disease. They will also develop interventional skills, including endobronchial skills with other pleural and minimally invasive thoracic techniques.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in the full diagnostic pathways, including screening triage, outcoming of screening investigations, rapid access lung cancer clinics, Cancer and Pleural ward consult service, MDT, including specialist pleural MDT, teaching, research & Audit and service development.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have MRCP or equivalent, trained to Level 1 in thoracic Ultrasound, and be in their final year of specialist respiratory training or within one year of completion. They will also have independent bronchoscopy skills and some experience in EBUS and pleural procedures.
