About the Opportunity

A leading consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Ecologist to lead on projects and grow a team of ecologists. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to join an innovative company and contribute to high-profile infrastructure and renewables projects.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring ecological staff, developing business opportunities, and providing technical expertise. Your experience working with protected species, particularly bats, will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on ecological projects across the UK
  • Grow and manage a team of ecologists
  • Develop business opportunities and increase revenue
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to colleagues
Requirements:
  • Right To Live & Work in the UK
  • Protected species license (ideally bats)
  • Previous experience managing projects
  • Good report writing skills
  • Full UK driving license
