Deputy Head of Education and Curriculum Coordinator

About the Role
To provide a high-quality education service for our students in accordance with our school policies, procedures, and practices, and the standards set by our regulatory body. Work closely with the Headteacher, leadership team, and other stakeholders to achieve high standards across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with good safeguarding procedures and principles as outlined by the local safeguarding board.
- Participate in the assessment of referrals and contribute to the development of support plans.
- Act as the overall curriculum coordinator and manager, overseeing the curriculum across the school.
- Lead the positive support of behaviour that may challenge, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver education, residential care, and clinical services.
- Monitor student progress and targets to ensure successful outcomes.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant experience of teaching pupils with Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or challenging behaviours.
- Relevant experience of teaching pupils with complex needs.
- Experience of managing staff and budgets effectively.
- Relevant qualifications, including a degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
