We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Science to lead our Science department at a reputable school in Surrey. This is a full-time position that requires a passionate and knowledgeable individual who can deliver high-quality Science education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Science curriculum, ensuring the delivery of engaging lessons and activities
  • Provide strategic direction and support to Science teachers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress in Science, implementing intervention strategies as required
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching and learning resources
  • Promote a positive learning environment and uphold the school's values
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's Science program
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and achievements
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialization in Science or a related field
  • Postgraduate degree in Science or Science Education (preferred)

Experience and Skills:

  • Significant experience teaching Science, ideally within a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Excellent knowledge of the Science curriculum and effective teaching strategies
