We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with a dynamic team to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience in both the out-patient Chemotherapy Unit and the award-winning Mobile Chemotherapy Unit, receiving comprehensive training and support in obtaining nationally recognized Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) UKONs competency.

Main Tasks
  • Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £42,046 - £56,995 per annum, depending on experience. As a member of our team, you will also enjoy a range of benefits, including access to the NHS Pension Scheme, 27 days holiday rising to 33 days, and an extensive range of learning and development opportunities.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Registered Nurse qualification and evidence of continued professional development within the last 12 months. Recent chemotherapy competence and a degree in nursing are desirable.
