Job Description

The Law Society in Wales is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Legal Sector Engagement Adviser. This exciting role will provide an excellent opportunity to shape the direction of how we engage with our members across Wales.

This dynamic position requires someone who can build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including active law societies, universities, junior lawyers, Welsh firms, and relevant Welsh stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting awareness of specific Welsh members' issues and developing the member offer and engagement plans. They will also contribute stories and other content to relevant communications teams.

This is a fantastic chance to develop relationships with all active law societies, universities, and their law societies, junior lawyers, Welsh firms, and relevant Welsh stakeholders by attending meetings and contributing to communications teams.

As our Legal Sector Engagement Adviser, you will draw upon a variety of skills and expertise to create a significantly positive impact for our members. We estimate the salary for this position to be £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

What We're Looking For
  • Demonstrable experience in developing membership engagement campaigns
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of the different devolved political environment, processes, and institutions
  • Legally compliant vehicle ownership (MOT, tax, insurance)
  • Ability to attend out-of-hours events and travel extensively across Wales
