About the Role

As a Senior Design Manager in our Engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering projects within the Life Science sector. This is an exciting opportunity to lead large, diverse teams and contribute to the success of our clients.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the delivery phase of projects and programmes in the Life Science sector. They will possess knowledge of building safety legislation, Building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health & safety legislation.

You will be responsible for leading the design management process, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes managing daily operations, leading and presenting management review data/key performance indicators (KPIs) to project and sub-function leadership, and supporting business development and work winning activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and management skills, with experience of working in a fast-paced environment. You will also have a deep understanding of the Life Science sector, including knowledge of CL2/CL3 and clean room facilities.

Requirements
  • A minimum of [£65000] salary per annum, depending on experience.
  • Membership of RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the Life Science sector.
  • Knowledge of building safety legislation, Building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health & safety legislation.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
