We are seeking an experienced Desktop IT Support Specialist to join our team at Manpower UK. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading Automotive manufacturer and contribute to the success of their IT infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for desktop end-user computing applications and technologies.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, including operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Manage relationships with vendors and ensure high-availability of business-critical IT systems.
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems (OS Windows 7/10), and network connectivity.
- Expert technology problem solver with strong technical understanding of hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, along with patience, a customer-friendly attitude, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, and subsequent, Microsoft Windows 7 and later, and main technologies of the telecommunications sector.
