Senior Leadership Position

We are looking for a seasoned professional to take on the role of Head of Transportation and Infrastructure. This is a key position within our client's organisation, requiring a high level of technical expertise and strategic thinking.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have previous experience working at Head of / Assistant Director level within Highways and/or Transport, and have worked with the public sector. They will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of all highways and transportation services, including highways asset management and maintenance, traffic management, transportation services, and parking.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a coordinated strategic infrastructure delivery strategy, integrating all areas into long-term planning.
  • Take strategic responsibility for large revenue, staff budgets, and capital investment programmes, ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Proactively manage service budgets, forecasting expenditure and ensuring affordable plans align with the annual budget and Medium-Term Financial Plan.

The estimated salary for this role is approximately £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, based on a 3-month contract at £580-£600 per day, inside IR35.
