Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to lead our Clinical Trials service. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of clinical trials, including organizing workload and operating procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Dispense and accuracy check prescriptions for clinical trials and compassionate use programs
  • Maintain and produce accurate documentation required for clinical trials
  • Be responsible for the initiation, running, and close of clinical trials
  • Implement and revise pharmacy clinical trials procedures
  • Provide training and supervision to student pharmacy technicians and registered technicians working in Clinical Trials Pharmacy
  • Deputise for the clinical trials pharmacists when necessary

Person Specification
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures equivalent to degree level acquired through training and experience
  • NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services, BTEC Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification
  • GCP trained
