Acoustic Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Acoustic Scientist to join our team at Boskalis. As an Acoustic Scientist, you will be responsible for providing acoustic modelling support and contributing to the continuous development of marine acoustic equipment and mitigation functions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide acoustic modelling support using Python, MATLAB, and other relevant software packages.
- Contribute to the development of new marine acoustic equipment and mitigation functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement acoustic survey packages and infrastructure for new and existing vessels or work platforms.
- Provide technical training and support for acoustic equipment users.
- Advise departmental managers on equipment and department technical capabilities.
- BEng/BSc in a relevant discipline (Acoustics, Engineering Electronics & Mechanical, or similar).
- Technical knowledge of acoustics hardware from industry.
- 5+ years of experience in the field as a senior operator in some capacity.
- Use of acoustics software packages - Python, MATLAB, or similar.
- Experience with multiple large-scale equipment mobilisations.
- Client interfacing experience as a technical authority.
