Acoustic Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Acoustic Scientist to join our team at Gardline, a leading provider of marine services. As an Acoustic Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing acoustic modelling support and contributing to the development of marine acoustic equipment and mitigation functions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing acoustic modelling support using Python and other relevant software packages.
- Managing technical projects, including providing in-depth support during sailing operations.
- Assisting with the development of new acoustic equipment and technologies.
- Designing and implementing acoustic survey packages and infrastructure for new and existing vessels or work platforms.
- Providing technical training and support for acoustic equipment users.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and company QA and HSSE procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in acoustics, with a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Acoustics, Engineering, Electronics, and Mechanical).
- Proven experience in acoustic modelling, technical project management, and equipment development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar software packages.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
