We are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to join our team as a Rural Residential Care Leader. This role requires someone with a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support to young males aged 13-18.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  2. Develop and implement engaging activities that stimulate learning and promote personal growth.
  3. Maintain awareness of relevant legislation, guidelines, and policies to ensure compliance with national standards.
  4. Lead and support Residential Support Workers to ensure all staff adhere to established policies and procedures.
  5. Monitor and assess residents' progress, maintaining accurate records of achievements and behavior.
  6. Collaborate with local authorities to ensure high-quality care is provided.
  7. Nurture positive relationships with parents and caregivers to support residents' development.
  8. Be flexible with working hours, including undertaking domestic tasks within the home.
  9. Maintain clear and legible records regarding residents, distinguishing between fact, opinion, and third-party information.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience working with teenage boys or challenging behavior, with a willingness to further develop skills.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent – or a willingness to work towards a required qualification.
  • Flexibility with working hours and the ability to work a mixture of days, evenings, and weekends.
  • The ability to challenge unacceptable behavior, provide firm boundaries, and provide care that meets the needs of the individual.
  • The ability to maintain policies and procedures, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum
