We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic professional to join our team as a Youth Development Program Coordinator. This role requires someone with a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support to young males aged 13-18 in a rural setting.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement programs that meet the individual needs of residents, promoting their learning and personal growth.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant legislation, guidelines, and policies to ensure compliance with national standards.
  • Lead and support Residential Support Workers to ensure all staff adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and assess residents' progress, maintaining accurate records of achievements and behavior.
  • Collaborate with local authorities to ensure high-quality care is provided.
  • Nurture positive relationships with parents and caregivers to support residents' development.
  • Be flexible with working hours, including undertaking domestic tasks within the home.
  • Maintain clear and legible records regarding residents, distinguishing between fact, opinion, and third-party information.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with teenage boys or challenging behavior, with a willingness to further develop skills.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent – or a willingness to work towards a required qualification.
  • Flexibility with working hours and the ability to work a mixture of days, evenings, and weekends.
  • The ability to challenge unacceptable behavior, provide firm boundaries, and provide care that meets the needs of the individual.
  • The ability to maintain policies and procedures, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum

Location: Rural Setting
