Job Overview:

Leonardo is seeking an experienced Electronics Solution Lead to join our Communications and Force Protection Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop subsystem engineering solutions and specifications
  • Specify and define electronic COTS items, including Open VPX chassis, General Purpose Graphics Processing Units, High-Speed Network Interface Controllers, and RF devices
  • System Integration

What You Will Do:

You will be part of a team supporting our ECM system development, starting at the beginning of the engineering lifecycle. You will develop subsystem solutions and specifications and work as part of the system integration team to realise those solutions.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of all stages of the engineering development lifecycle
  • Experience of operating at the product system level, specifying and defining COTS items, working with subcontract suppliers, and specifying Open VPX backplane solutions (or similar standards)
  • System level integration

Desirable Skills:

  • Safety, Security, and other legislative constraints
  • Domain experience in Electronics Warfare and Electronics Countermeasures
