Tutor for Students with Special Needs

Remedy Education is a leading provider of educational services dedicated to supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Newham, East London. We are seeking an experienced SEN tutor to join our dynamic team and work closely with students with diverse learning needs.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with SEN. As an Outreach Tutor, you will provide personalized support in both mainstream and special educational settings, using tailored teaching strategies and resources to cater to individual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality, one-to-one or small group tutoring to students with SEN, both in schools and at home.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans, adapting teaching methods to suit each student's unique learning style and needs.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to track student progress and adjust learning plans accordingly.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and educational professionals.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Proven experience working with students with SEN, preferably in an outreach or tutoring capacity.
- Knowledge of various SEN categories, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and school staff.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach, with a passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or relevant SEN training is desirable but not essential.
