About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Science Tutor to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust, based in Camden. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility and a passion for working with students with special educational needs (SEN).

Job Description

The successful candidate will deliver personalized one-on-one science lessons to students with SEN, using hands-on, visual, and practical learning techniques to make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging. Our tutoring service specializes in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality science lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Use innovative teaching methods to engage students with SEN
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson plans
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring experience in Science
  • Proven experience working with SEN students, particularly those with Autism and ADHD
  • Strong ability to create engaging practical lessons that simplify complex scientific concepts
  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability
  • A clear DBS check and legal right to work in the UK
Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive working environment.
