CBSbutler seeks a skilled Electronics Manufacturing Specialist to play a pivotal role in the production process, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products.

As an Electronics Manufacturing Specialist at CBSbutler, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and guaranteeing products meet stringent quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to deliver exceptional products to our customers.

Main Accountabilities:

Problem solving on the line – component level fault finding to structured analysis to identify longer term production and performance issues

  • Work with manufacturing and supply teams on all issues and problems of a technical nature, driving these to full root cause with sustainable corrective actions in place.
  • Investigate document and report faults with customer owned products. Implementing improvements to solve documented faults.
  • At all points during production process give manufacturing technical input.
  • Challenge conventions in order to ensure continuous improvements, especially with regard to manufacturing cost and ease of manufacture.

Manufacturing process development and analysis

  • Assist manufacturing in creating balanced lines with the flexibility to change dependant on the production requirements.
  • Review, update, write and clear and concise work instructions (SOP's) for use by the Operations area.
  • Create and update configuration control documents and all product manufacturing standard times.
  • Write and review process FMEA & control plans and complete Risk Assessments, close the loop on identified actions.
  • Develop mid to long range improvement plans for both product and process, working with the relevant stakeholders

Support New Product Development

  • Involvement in the analysis of new and existing designs to ensure DFM & DFA criteria is met.
  • Manage the required activities through the relevant phase deliverable gate of the NPI process working with the BU Engineering and Project teams.
  • Understand the lifecycle of all component types, their sources and lead-times.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in electronics test and manufacturing engineering, with good communication skills that can sell and influence to a range of audiences internally and externally. The salary for this position is £30,000 - £45,000 + excellent benefits.
