We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Disability Assessor to join our team at Reactive Recruitment. As a Medical Disability Assessor, you will play a vital role in assessing the functional capacity of individuals and making informed decisions regarding their benefits.
What We Offer
In this rewarding role, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from £38,500 to £41,500 per annum, with an on-target earnings potential of up to £45,650. Our comprehensive benefits package includes 25 days of annual leave (increasing to 27 days after 5 years), reimbursement of registration fees, and support for revalidation. You will also receive paid day off for volunteering and access to a range of employee network groups for diverse connections and learning.
About the Role
As a Medical Disability Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of individuals' functional abilities, gathering relevant information, and documenting your findings. Your exceptional observational and communication skills will enable you to listen attentively, empathize with clients, and delve deeper into their needs. Your ability to work efficiently, produce timely reports, and meet targets will be essential in ensuring the success of our team.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require at least one year of post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic. Full registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, etc.) is mandatory, along with a valid PIN and no restrictions. Proficiency in IT, Microsoft Office, and remote system access is also essential. A valid driving license or access to transportation to attend the nearest assessment centre is required.
Working Hours
You will be contracted for 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working hours to be agreed with your line manager after training. Working hours can be between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid one-hour lunch break. Example schedules include 8am – 4:30pm or 9am – 5:30pm, with a minimum of 4 weeks' notice required for any changes to your rota.
