About the Role

Fife Council is seeking a skilled Chartered Planner to join our team. As a key member of our planning department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Fife's development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement Fife's new Local Development Plan and Place Plan, ensuring alignment with national and local policies.
  • Develop and maintain planning policies and guidance, working closely with stakeholders and community groups.
  • Assess and evaluate content for the new plan, ensuring it meets the needs of Fife's communities.
  • Deliver project work, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to achieve strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Town and Country Planning or equivalent, with a strong understanding of the statutory planning process.
  • Be a full member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to interact effectively with business and technical teams, providing expert advice and guidance.
