**About the Role:**
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEND school in Southport. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to provide tailored support, ensuring students receive the individual attention they need to succeed both academically and personally.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with additional needs
- Help to implement learning plans, EHCPs, and behaviour management strategies
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour, promoting a positive learning environment
- Encourage social interaction and independence among pupils
- Monitor and record student progress, contributing to assessment and reviews
**Requirements:**
- Experience working with children, ideally within an SEND or school setting
- A calm, patient, and positive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable but not essential)
- A DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
