We are excited to present an opportunity for a caring and motivated learning assistant to support students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting. This long-term position is perfect for someone committed to helping students achieve their full potential.

As a supportive learning assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to meet student's individual needs
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them engage and succeed in their learning
  • Supporting students' emotional and social development in a safe, inclusive environment
  • Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive, structured learning space

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience supporting students in a secondary or SEND school setting
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children and young people
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new DBS

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
