Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Teledyne UK Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading production equipment and jigs used for the manufacture of RF products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and prioritize your workload to ensure efficient equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Adhere to good health and safety practices at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support the equipment build and calibration teams to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Assist with apprentice training to develop the skills of our future maintenance engineers.
  • Identify needs for preventative maintenance and implement schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Carry out regular scheduled safety inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Perform reactive breakdown maintenance to quickly resolve equipment issues.
  • Assist in sourcing spare parts for equipment and setting up spares stocks to minimize downtime.
  • Perform mechanical fabrication of components for equipment repairs to ensure efficient maintenance.
  • Suggest and implement equipment improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Assist production engineers with technical support regarding equipment to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Assist with producing risk and COSHH assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Identify equipment requiring replacement and feed into capital budgets to ensure timely replacement.
  • Provide regular progress updates to your manager to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements
  • Technical/engineering/electrical/electronic apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Good health, safety, and housekeeping practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work from detailed technical drawings and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate maintenance.
  • Ability to work within deadlines and budgets to ensure efficient maintenance.
  • Electrical/electronic fault finding skills to quickly resolve equipment issues.
